There are three options for saving pdf records from your cloud Genesis R&D to your local Mac:
- Save the PDF files directly during printing
- Save to the cloud Personal Share (P:) or Company Share (S:) drives and use the PDF viewer to save those files locally
- Save to the cloud Personal Share (P:) or Company Share (S:) drives and use the File Explorer in Remote Desktop to copy them to your local drive
Save directly during printing
- Go to file > Save as PDF
- Browse to a folder on your local computer. This is often time-consuming on a Mac and can cause your program to freeze or slow down.
- Click Save.
Save to a cloud drive and use PDF view to save locally
- Go to file > Save as PDF
- Browse to the P: or S: drives. These drives are housed in the cloud and are accessed by logging in to ESHA Cloud.
• The P: drive is your Personal Hosted Desktop drive. You will access it with your login and it is accessible only to you.
• The S: drive is your Company Shared drive. Any data/files placed on this drive will be accessible by all employees, from your company, with access to this Hosted Desktop. - Click Save
- Click OK. The PDF should open as a preview in the built-in default viewer
- Go to the File menu and choose Save As. Look under This PC or HostedComputer for your local drive. Typically it will be named something similar to YourName on YourName's Mac.
- Choose the folder you want so save the file in, change the name if you wish
- Click Save.
Save to the cloud drive and use the File Explorer to copy them to your local drive
- Go to file > Save as PDF
- Browse to the P: or S: drives. These drives are housed in the cloud and are accessed by logging in to ESHA Cloud.
• The P: drive is your Personal Hosted Desktop drive. You will access it with your login and it is accessible only to you.
• The S: drive is your Company Shared drive. Any data/files placed on this drive will be accessible by all employees, from your company, with access to this Hosted Desktop. - Click Save.
- Select File Explorer from the Remote Desktop Connection Center
- Open the Personal Share (P:) or Company Share (S:) drive where you saved your files.
- Highlight the files you want and use Command+C to Copy or go to the Home tab and choose Copy (or Cut if you wish to move them).
- Browse to your local drive under This PC or HostedComputer. Typically it will be named something like YourName on YourName's Mac. Choose the folder you want so save the files
- Use Command+V to paste, or go to the Home tab and choose the Paste button. This article about using File Explorer to move files to/from the p:\ or s:\ drives may also help.
